Garmin API delays

The data we’re receiving from Garmin’s API is currently experiencing delays of between 30mins to 12 hours. If you’re connected to Garmin you’ll likely see summary data only, while we wait for Garmin to send the detailed information.

I know this is frustrating, and I’m sorry for the inconvenience. We’ve reached out to Garmin and are awaiting a resolution.

I’m late to the party, having only just read this evening that I needed to update to the new API. I’ve done so, but still cannot seem to sync any runs past Saturday morning (May 8th) despite multiple attempts to connect to the new Garmin API (which seem successful as I get notifications that there has been a new sign in to my Garmin account), logging out of Smashrun & back in again, and loads of frustration with tapping the sync and seeing “no new runs found” when there are two to be synced. Can you please assist?

I checked out your account, and you should be all set now.
Let me know if you have any issues with your next run. There continues to be a lot of issues with the new Garmin integration, but we’re working through them one by one.

Any hints when this might be fixed? I haven’t had Garmin add a run since last Friday, and I’ve run sat, mon, tue, so it seems to be more than a 12 hour delay. Thanks in advance!

There’s a variety of different issues affecting different users, but the issue affecting your account should be resolved now. Apologies for the delay.

Is this still going on or even escalating? Mine won’t sync my runs from the previous 2 days now.

I followed the steps but still not updating (hadn’t done it for 3 weeks, so a fair amount of runs to do them manually through fit files…). Anything else I should try?

Tried the update Multiple times over several weeks.
Still only get the Garmin is being weird message.
Have gone back to my old spreadsheet to track my streak and daily milage.
This app was cool while it worked.

If you’re having trouble connecting, then you should definitely try at least once using a desktop computer before giving up. Almost all the errors with OAuth seem to be from mobile devices. At this point 95% of users are getting their incoming runs without error. Most of the remaining issues are with historical import.
